■Support Services Overview

In order to engage in activities in Japan, foreign nationals must file an application appropriate to their purpose and obtain permission from the Immigration Bureau in accordance with Japanese laws and regulations.

Administrative scriveners assist foreign nationals in preparing and submitting the necessary application documents at the request of the foreign national or their representative (limited to legitimate representatives as defined by Japanese laws and regulations).

The main applications we handle include the following:
[Application for Certificate of Eligibility]
This application certifies that the individual meets the requirements for the desired residence status before entering Japan. There are many types of residence status, and the permitted activities vary. The requirements and documents required vary depending on the status of residence you apply for.
[Application for Permission to Change Status of Residence]
This is an application for foreign nationals already residing in Japan to change their current status to a different one.
[Application for Permission to Renew Status of Residence]
This is an application for foreign nationals already residing in Japan to extend their period of stay before the expiration of their current period of stay and continue their activities under their current status of residence.
[Application for Permission to Acquire Status of Residence]
This is an application for foreign nationals who do not yet have a status of residence (for example, because they were born in Japan) to continue residing in Japan.
[Application for Permanent Residence]
This is an application for foreign nationals who currently have a status of residence and meet certain conditions to obtain permanent resident status. There are no longer any restrictions on the period of stay or activities. Applications will not be granted unless the applicant is deemed to be able to lead a stable life in the long term and to be beneficial to Japan.
[Application for Permission to Engage in Activities Other Than Those Permitted Under the Status of Residence Previous to Their Status of Residence]
This application is for foreign nationals already residing in Japan who wish to earn income through part-time or side jobs in addition to their permitted activities.
[Application for Certificate of Authorized Employment]
This application is for foreign nationals already residing in Japan to request a certificate certifying that they have a residence status that allows them to work. Presenting this certificate to your employer will facilitate the employment process.
[Application for Re-entry Permit]
This application is for foreign nationals already residing in Japan who temporarily leave Japan and re-enter Japan with their previous residence status. While short-term departures require simple procedures at the airport, departures of one year or longer require prior application for permission.

■Procedure
(1) Foreign citizens seeking assistance, please fill out the “Contact Form” at the bottom of this page to contact us. If you are unsure about the specific details or how to reply, you can fill in “I don’t know.”
(2) We will reply by email with questions necessary to understand the request. Please answer those questions.
(3) Once we understand the client's intentions, we will have a conversation either in person or online. At this time, please prepare a certificate that can verify your identity. If you are acting as an agent, please prepare a certificate that can verify that you are an agent appointed by the client. Since voice conversations may not be able to convey your intentions accurately enough, we will use written conversations using machine translation.
(4) The content of your request will become clear as a result of the conversation. We will instruct you on the documents you or your agent must prepare. We will also inform you of the fee and payment method.
(5) If an agreement is reached, we will proceed to the next step, conclude a contract, and begin specific work.

Requests from third parties other than those authorized by Japanese law

When there is no prospect of the individual or agent being able to legitimately obtain the certificates and other documents they are required to prepare

When it is clear that the individual's background and current situation do not meet the requirements for the desired status of residence

When applying for the "Business Manager" status of residence, you must submit a business plan for the business you will manage.

I can assist you in preparing your business plan. However, the contents of the business plan must be prepared in advance by the applicant themselves or by an agent at their direction.

As a general rule, the written confirmation will be prepared based on an evaluation in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Osaka Prefecture Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Consultants. In particular, specificity, rationality, and continued feasibility must be confirmed.

When reviewing your business plan, I will interview the applicant, their agent, or a domestic employee whenever possible. For existing businesses, I may request the previous year's financial statements and on-site interviews.

If I undertake a business plan review, a fee will be estimated separately from the support services I provide as a certified public scrivener.

In addition to the service fee, you may incur actual costs such as fees to the Immigration Bureau.
